Baroda - Vadodara city - known as cultural capital of Gujarat, is known for its different cultural activities. We rangoli artists of Vadodara (earstwhile Baroda) started working collectively in 1985 as a group named SWASTIK RANGOLI KALAKAR GROUP. Since then our group has organized many rangoli exhibitions in different cities. Thousands of visitors flock to the exhibitions. Contemporary type rangoli pictures on different subjects such as portraits of world famous celebrities, figures, landscapes, seascapes, still-life are made by us in the exhibitions.  Rangoli 'On Water' and 'Under Water' is also made. Many people are fascinated by our rangoli art. It is also liked and appreciated by all medias in the country and abroad. Some of the artists of our group have performed in Dubai, New Zealand and London having received invitations from their government organizations. Legendary personalities are also very much impressed by our art.

Recent Exhibitions

Our main exhibition was held during Diwali 2010. It was in Kirti Mandir hall, Baroda. The exhibition was a great success. It was from 4-11-2010 to 16-11-2010. Thousands of visitors flock to the Rangoli exhibition. In all 15 Rangoli pictures were made by the artists.

The group was invited by Maa Krishna Ashram Parivar, Ahmedabad, during February, 2011 to make a Rangoli exhibition at Sanskar Kendra, Paladi, Ahmedabad. Thirteen Rangoli pictures were made in the exhibition on different subjects. The exhibition - as usual, was a great success.

Silver Jubilee Year Celebration

SRKG completed 25 years this year. We organized a Rangoli competition on 12th December for the citizens of Vadodara. Many enthusiasts participated in the competition.

Legendary Rangoli artists, who started Rangoli exhibitions in Vadodara 50 years ago, were honoured by the group on 12th December. It was a great day for the artists of the group.
